Dyed & knitted by hand
Cruelty Free Merino Wool
Individually crafted from hand dyed, natural merino wool. Knitted by hand and finished with a bobble in classic Billie & Co cream and our beautiful suede labels secured with rivets. The wool has been hand dyed and knitted specifically for us by Hooking Marvellous Yarns and we have added the finishing touch label that has been made for us by The British Stamp Maker (who also made the stamp we use for our bandana labels!).
CARE & FIT
- A long length to ensure a lovely thick fold over the ears (we all know how the wind can be biting sometimes!), which gives a double layer of knit to keep the warm in.
- Knitted to be perfect for all head sizes. The knit choice allows stretch for a larger fit but isn't too slouchy for a smaller fit.
- The beauty of wool is that it doesn't need much washing, a natural characteristic of wool is that it is odour resistant so it only needs washing if it is muddy.
- Although these hats can go in the washing machine on a low temperature, we would recommend hand washing, gently squeezing with a towel and allowing to dry flat.
WHY MERINO WOOL?
In our opinion, wool is ridiculously underrated. Unlike synthetics which are industrially produced from non-renewable fossil energy, Merino wool is a natural fibre grown year-round by Merino sheep. Below are some of the properties of wool, some of which we bet you didn't know..
